The purpose of this study was to assess the level of knowledge, attitudes, and education demands related to hearing aids among the general public in Southwest China.
No immediate change to clinical practice, but findings highlight specific knowledge and attitude gaps in a Chinese population that could inform patient education strategies for audiologists serving similar communities.
Understanding public misconceptions and educational needs around hearing aids in underserved or culturally distinct populations is essential for designing effective awareness campaigns and improving hearing aid adoption rates globally.
