OBJECTIVES: This pilot study aims to evaluate the preliminary effects and feasibility of the Vestibular Infant Screening - Rehabilitation (VIS-REHAB) protocol, a structured Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) program combining postural and gaze stability exercises, in children with peripheral vestibular dysfunction.
VIS-REHAB shows early promise for pediatric vestibular rehabilitation, but as a pilot study it is too preliminary to change practice; await larger controlled trials before adopting the protocol.
Vestibular dysfunction in children is underserved clinically, and a structured, validated pediatric rehabilitation protocol would fill a significant gap in audiologic and vestibular care.
