Do your hearing aids make music sound tinny, distorted, flat or unnatural? These seven programming changes could help make live and streamed music sound more natural again. Most hearing aids are primarily programmed to prioritise speech—but music is not speech. Music contains wider dynamics, stronger peaks, richer low-frequency information and complex harmonics that speech-focused processing can sometimes squash, suppress or distort.
